Manzanita Square project is a “super-insulated”, all-electrical eight-story student housing and mixed-use building for the California State University System. In collaboration with American Campus Communities, the student housing portion of the building was the beginning of the university’s fight against the growing housing crisis in San Francisco by providing a new urban student residence option just off-campus.

One of the first all-electrical buildings for CSU system, Manzanita Square has impressive wall construction that is not typically seen in Northern California.

It was imperative the construction details were vetted and reviewed with the construction team and enclosure consultants prior to construction to ensure the EUI goal of the building.
